Jodoque ou Jost TRITZ, pur cru du pays de Nied, marié avec Julianne DALSTEIN de Guiching, débarque à Hestroff  vers 1694.

Jodoque, riche laboureur, était lettré. D'après les actes notariés et actes courants de la vie quotidienne, on peut aisément relever que Jodoque, assez imbu de sa personne, ne fréquente que l'élite du village. Ses fils autant que ses filles ont de l'instruction à une époque où il n'était guère fréquent de relever de belles signatures et encore moins de rencontrer des signatures de femmes.

Les ancêtres de Jodoque sont bien connus via LBT (Lorraine berceau des Tritz) qui se réunit chaque année à Bouzonville pour honorer leur ancêtre Jost Tritz 1570-1636, juge suprême des fermiers à Bifingen-Biringen-Oberesch. Il était très fortuné et avait également des biens à Mertzig et dans le Saargau.

Donc, le Jodoque de Hestroff épousa en 1693 Julianne DALSTEIN à Freistroff où elle possédait des terres sur les bans de Freistroff, Diding et Guiching. Ces terres seront données en fermage à Pierre TRITZ. A la mort du père/beau-père, Jacques Dalstein, Jodoque et Julianne vendirent en 1709 maison,  grange, jardin et écurie à Freistroff et ses annexes.

Le couple eut 14 enfants. Leurs enfants trouvèrent chaussure à leur pied dans les familles les plus en vue, notamment les KIEFFER, GENEVAUX, DALSTEIN et CORDONNIER.

Son 2e fils, Jacques fut nommé curé de Varsberg en 1720 (pour cette nomination il dut verser 200 livres à Rome).

Son fils André (n°8),  quitta le village avec femme et enfants pour rejoindre la nouvelle terre promise : le Banat, plus précisément à Mercydorf, aujourd'hui Carani en Roumanie. Quelques descendants se trouvent aujourd'hui à Buenos Aires en Argentine

Ne resta plus que Mathias (n°7), laboureur, pour pérenniser le nom sur Hestroff. Hélas, il n’eut que deux filles, l’une épousant un NADé et l’autre un DICOP. Ainsi, au milieu du 19e, plus aucun Tritz n’apparaîtra plus sur les registres paroissiaux et l’état civil.

Jodoque et Julianne ont quand même quelques descendants dans les veines desquels coule du sang tyrolien. Ainsi les familles BOTTER, CASARA, COLBUS, DEPENWEILLER, KLEIN, NADé-KETZINGER, SCHNEIDER Edmond et WANNIERE-OTT/GORGES cousinent avec les Tritz du monde entier, qu’ils demeurent au pays de Nied, en Sarre, à  Timisoara en Roumanie,  à Buenos Aires et ailleurs en Argentine ou les USA principalement dans le Wisconsin (notamment avec Harold TRITZ qui nous a rendu visite en l'an 2000). Ils cousinent également, en 2008, tant avec le maire sortant qu'avec le nouvel élu.
