Descendance de GELMINGER Michel, hussard au 8e régiment. Pendant la campagne de l'armée du Rhin en 1800, il mérita un mousqueton d'honneur qui lui fut décerné le 28 fructidor an X. Dans une charge de cavalerie, il s'était précipité au milieu de la mêlée et était parvenu à enlever un étendard à l'ennemi. Retraité en 1804. Électeur de l'arrondissement de Thionvile.
