Hestroff après 1700

Nouveaux arrivants après 1700


Après 1700, nous assistons à une deuxième vague migratoire. Aux premiers Tyroliens déjà bien intégrés à la communauté villageoise, s'ajoute une nouvelle génération. Nous connaissons déjà les Hermann, Hackspill, Liser, Springer, Transberg …  Ils seront suivis par d'autres tyroliens, des français du Nord, des belges et quelques allemands.
Ignace ALEXANDRE, le précédent curé, vient d'être remplacé par Damien HENWEILLER. Ce dernier a une servante et un valet. Sa mère semble habiter chez lui jusqu'à son décès en 1716.
Thimothée Robert est maître d'école à Hestroff depuis 1696. Son épouse est une Hennequin (voir les Transberg). Son fils François ADAM x Marie GIRARDIN sera lui aussi régent d'école à Hestroff jusqu'en 1758, année où la famille ROBERT cessera d'occuper la scène...  Pas tout à fait...! Le petit-fils de Timothée, devenu Sieur ROBERT de HESSELN, professeur en langue allemande, inspecteur des élèves de l'école royale militaire de Paris, fera don d'un orgue à l'église de Hestroff en 1771 (voir précédemment sous les ROBERT).
Viennent s'ajouter aux familles déjà nommées précédemment les KETZINGER, FONCIN et Cie.

Hestroff après 1700 - les FONCIN

Claude FONCIN

Claude Foncin, laboureur, dont la mère est originaire de Villers-la-Montagne près de Longwy, est né à Chémery où son père Arnould dit le Jeune est cité censier du château de Chémery en 1696. Claude cité aussi Fonsain ou Fonsing, est l'ancêtre du grand géographe Pierre Foncin qui donna son nom à une rue et à un lycée à Paris. Ce même Pierre Foncin qui n'eut aucune descendance (deux filles restées célibataires) était en possession de presque la moitié de la presqu'île de Saint-Tropez, commune qui hérita de la totalité de ses biens (source : Jean-François FONCIN, neuropsychiatre à Paris).

A Hestroff, Claude, dont la famille est originaire de la Lorraine belge (Arlon-Virton) se rapproche des tyroliens, notamment des Liser, Springer et Hackspill.

Claude Foncin n'a aucune descendance sur Hestroff sauf quelques lointains cousins dont les CAUDY, BRABANT-FONCIN, NADé-HUMBERT et Denis MATHIS, le maire actuel.

Les KOIN/KUHN/KÖHN/KÖHNE/KIEN,


Les origines des KIEN, dernière graphie connue, sont incertaines. On en trouve à Vaudreching et à Brettnach à la fin du 17e.
Les Kien, dans leur grande majorité, maréchaux ferrants, firent alliance à Hestroff avec les familles Hackspill, Dicop et Nadé.

Les descendants de Christian x Catherine Schmitt sont les familles KIEN-FANTIN  bien entendu, mais aussi CASARA, FRIDRICI, Eugène HACKSPILL et ses descendants, NADé-PICK et PICK, SCHILTZ.

Les GENEVAUX/JEUNEVEAU

Alexandre GENEVAUX, fils de Louys et Marguerite HYGUENIN ou HUGENY, maître cordonnier comme son père l'était à Piblange, épousa une MASSON en 1ère noce puis en 2e Demoiselle Elisabeth CERVEAU/SERVEAUX/SERVAT de Freistroff.  Alexandre apposa sa très belle signature sur dix-huit actes au moins, ce qui laisse penser qu'il jouissait d'une certaine notoriété même si le curé officiant (jaloux ?) s'obstinait à le citer dans les actes "JEUNEVEAU".

Il laisse une longue descendance parmi les CASARA, DEPENWEILLER, HACKSPILL-HUMBERT, KIEN-FANTIN, KLEIN-COLBUS, NADé etc… A noter que la plupart de ses enfants savaient signer, dont sa fille aînée Anne Margrit épouse François BREIDBEIL de Ebersviller.

Nous ne connaissons pas encore les origines de Pierre LANIO ou LAGNEAU, laboureur à Hestroff.

Mathias KETZINGER, époux de Elisabeth STEFF, s'est installé à Drogny, dont cinq enfants connus. Le nom fut pérennisé par leur fils Mathias, maître tisserand, né au Tyrol.

Mathias n'avait que 19 ans quand il épousa vers 1714/1715 Elisabeth NADé, fille de Hugo, de 7 ans son aînée. Malgré la différence d'âge, Elisabeth, apparemment vaillante, lui donna 11 enfants, dont le dernier de la couvée qui signait Pettrus KETZINGER, seul descendant mâle à avoir assuré la descendance. A signaler qu'Elisabeth Nadé avait 51 ans au moment de la naissance de Pierre.

Alors que Mathias fils signait "Mathis Ketzinger ou Kentzingen", son patronyme connut, au gré des plumes, plusieurs variantes : Götzinger en 1715 et 1717,  Kotzinger vers 1734, Gitzinger, Kitzinger en 1737, Kitzinger en 1741, enfin  Ketzinger en 1750.

La descendance n’est guère nombreuse. Sur Hestroff, hormis les porteurs du patronyme KETZINGER, les descendants en sont les familles DIEHL, FRIDRICI et NADé-HUMBERT.

Hestroff et ses habitants après 1700, les BOLZINGER

Certainement d'origine germanique vu les affinités avec les autres familles tyroliennes.

Le couple Jean BOLZINGER x Anne MOHR/MAUR, laboureurs, semblait demeurer auparavant à Metzerwisse où ce patronyme était bien représenté. Les premières traces de ce nom remontent au mariage de leur fils aîné Jean avec une BERNARD en 1712. Les autres enfants feront alliance au-delà de cette date avec les BERNARD itou, les BACCUS, les BEITZ et les TOUSSAINT.

Descendance : les familles BEHEM, HACKSPILL-LAGLASSE ; KLEIN-COLBUS, NADé-MULLER, MATHIS-JACOB, VANNIERE-OTT/GORGES.

Hestroff et ses habitants après 1700, Joseph HACKSPILL

Joseph Hackspill, maître charpentier, est originaire de Staufen im Allgäu dans le Tyrol (aujourd'hui Oberstaufen en Bavière à 519 km de Hestroff) où son père est décédé. Joseph, qui aurait eu un frère moine dit Léopold à l'abbaye de Villers-Bettnach, est probablement un neveu de Rodolphe et de Bénédikt déjà cités. Il aurait immigré vers 1710.

Nous ne faisons sa connaissance à Hestroff que lors de son mariage avec Magdeleine TRANSBERG en 1716. Joseph signe "Joseph Hagspill ou Hagspiel". En épousant une fille Transberg, Joseph quitte la pierre pour se marier avec le bois.

Son union fut de courte durée, Magdeleine meurt en couches et laisse un orphelin mâle prénommée Jean. Joseph se remarie à Drogny avec Anne SCHILLES ou GILLIS ou SCHILTZ qui lui donnera 11 enfants. La famille Schilles ou Schiltz (deux graphies que nous connaissons bien en ce début de 21e), à l'instar des Transberg, semble également d'origine tyrolienne.

Les descendants directs de Joseph resteront dans le métier du bois, sauf son premier-né Jean, orphelin de mère, qui sera vigneron.

 A l’aube de ce 21e siècle, à Hestroff, une seule famille porte ce patronyme.

Toutefois, sont issues de Joseph les familles BAUSCH-BAUER & JACOB, CASARA, WAGNER-SINS & DEPENWEILLER, FRIDRICI,  KETZINGER, KIEN-FANTIN, NADé-HUMBERT et SCHILTZ.

Les familles citées cousinent bien entendu avec les Hackspill bretons qui ont découvert le village de leurs ancêtres les 19 et 20 août 2006.

Hestroff et ses habitants après 1700, les FREY

Pierre FREY, « opérateur » à Filstroff puis à Hestroff, avait deux fils : Antoine et Nicolas, tous deux cités «chirurgien » à Hestroff avant 1754.

Antoine, l’aîné, épousa une Springer. Les  origines des trois épouses de son frère Nicolas restent encore obscures. Nicolas, décédé prématurément, fut soldat avant de pratiquer la « chirurgie » à Hestroff et ne laisse aucune descendance sur Hestroff.

Les descendants de Antoine se trouvent parmi les  GOBY-BASSOMPIERRE et HACKSPILL.
